We know the marvels one bag of tea can bring to our overall health. It’s been a reliable drink that prevents and cures numbers of sickness that hinders the body to enjoy and use its own potential for better living.

Mostly, the spotlight is being focused on the extract being squeezed out of the tea bags. But just because it’s been soaked and used does not mean the tea bag’s purpose ends right then and there.
The wonders can be extended outside the cup. From beauty to cleaning purposes, used tea bag’s benefits can be enumerated into a substantial length of list.

Used tea bags can be used on rashes and insect bites. The antiseptic properties found on the tiny leaves inside the tea bag can soothe and alleviate redness and itching. Tea bags can also be used to heal bruises. Just place that soaked small bag atop the affected area and leave it for 3-5 minutes.

Look and feel refreshed as it also reduces puffiness and eye bags. Just make sure that the soaked tea bag is warm enough for the skin to handle and put it on each eye for 15 – 20 minutes. The skin around the eyes is thin that’s why observing the right amount of temperature is a must before placing the bags onto those beloved peepers.

A used tea bag can also be act as a mouthwash and deodorizer for the sweaty feet. The mouth pain brought by toothache and using it as mouthwash can cure other illnesses. Say goodbye to sweaty and stinking feet by giving them a tea bath. Soak each foot 20 minutes every day.

Doing this will close the pores of your feet that produce sweat, which is the main source of odor when mixed with bacteria usually suspended in the air.

Pre brewed tea bags can also be used to clean wood and floor surfaces. Wipe the interior with a cloth soaked with weak tea from used bags. The extract has an anti-greasing agent that removes dirt and grime but still gentle, especially on porous materials like wood. This benefit can also be extended on removing food stains and rust from your kitchen wares.

Maintain a fresh smelling home by using used tea bags as your natural deodorizer. Hang or leave tea bags in an open space and let it absorb any unwanted smell that lingers in your household.

Do not store used tea bags for a long period of time though. While we are aware about the uses it can bring, let us not forget that prolonged use can also invite molds and further bacteria. When old tea bags start to look and smell weird, toss them away and get fresh bags instead.
