With almost all countries being acquainted with the two legs of wafers covered in a rich coating of milk chocolate, it is no wonder that Kit Kat is a household name that’s been loved for almost 80 years.
Through the continuous fascination of human beings to this extraordinary chocolate bar, United Kingdom recorded a whopping 170-million Euros of sales last 2004 and is dubbed as the country’s best confectionery brand in terms of sales. Unlike its’ slogan “Have a break, have a Kit Kat”, this epic creation isn’t stopping to influence our taste buds anytime soon.
You’d be interested to know that according to the infamous Guinness Book of World Records, an estimated total of 13.2 billion Kit Kat fingers have been sold and eaten worldwide in 1995, and so we can all surmise that the number would shoot more if we were to include consumption until this very day. Japan have been one of the most prolific in concocting new variants such as Strawberry, Candied Sweet Potato, Apple Vinegar, Sweet Corn, Watermelon and Salt, Potato, Salt and Caramel, Muscat of Alexandra Grapes, Toasted Soy Flour, Pumpkin, White Chocolate Espresso, Apple, Red Bean Soup, Caramel Macchiato, Pineapple, Chestnut, Blood Orange, Cantaloupe, Kinako Ohagi, Black Sugar, Cookie Dough, Cookies and Cream, Ginger Ale, Mango, Royal Milk, Blueberry Cheesecake, Banana, Caramac, Soy Sauce, Veggie, Fruit Parfait, Bubblegum, Tiramisu and the very famous Green Tea flavor.
Australia also got a variant only available in the continent, which is Honeycomb. Its mother country United Kingdom released White and Dark Chocolate Flavors in 2003.
