A certain fellow is greedy and materialistic. He is an up-and-coming and very discerning entrepreneur, and covertly revels over his ability to lure or control others so he can carry on accruing more money and other gains.
Then one day, with the sudden turn of events, he ended up bankrupt, having been topped by another person greater than him. Is this a painstaking karma? Indeed it is. Where one’s misfortune can be outlined unswervingly to one’s own doings, is an example of karma.
Karma originates from our own point of view. We generate our own karma, and we are the only ones that can alter it by shifting our thoughts. The theory of karma was patented from the Hindu belief that there is a faultless collective mandate in the world.
Nothing happens by chance, but things happen under a general order. “Whatever a man soweth, he too shall reap”, is the foundation of karmic rule which means, that every act has an outcome.
For every event that transpires, comes another event whose actuality was triggered by the first, and this second event can be pleasing or spiteful depending on how it was instigated, according to Buddhist teachings.
A good reason, a good effect, and a bad reason, a bad effect. Fate is the conception that a person’s life is prearranged by some unseen force but there is no control over destiny. Karma on the other hand, can be altered due to the fact that we are heedful beings and that we can be cognizant of our karma and we can walk on either a straight or twisted path.
Everything starts at home and parents should teach their children to be good individuals. How adults act is an immense manifestation of their upbringing. Upright actions will mean better chances for us in the near future.
There no harm in trying to live one’s life from the perspective of kindness, humility and understanding. Karma is a fact, and it happens. You have to choose your own Karma. It can be good or worse, it can be appalling, as it can indirectly manifest itself to you, but can be directed to a loved one, with you having the slimmest idea that it’s already happening.
As the famous Alicia Keys song goes, “What goes around comes around, what goes up must come down…”
