Smile is one of the first things people notice about you. Appearance can become more pleasant with white shining set off teeth.

You look more healthy and young with white shining teeth. And also your smile becomes more beautiful with sparkling teeth, so it’s natural to want to avoid tooth discoloration and keep it bright.
Tooth discoloration is a common problem, and here are some of the common reasons that cause it:

Age

As we grow old our teeth becomes more yellow it is a natural process. The outer layer of the enamel becomes thinner that causes the dentin’s yellowish color that also gives the teeth the yellowish appearance.

Smoking

Smoking is dangerous to everyone’s health as well to our teeth. Smoking can leave stains on the enamel of the Teeth. Cigarettes and Tabaco have this staining element that causes the yellowing of the teeth.

Hereditary

Genetic Disposition is one of the reasons why a person has yellow teeth. If most of your family members have yellow teeth it’s most likely to be genetic. The color of the teeth is not genetically transmitted but the thickness of the outermost layer of the teeth that. The thinner of the enamel layer, the more yellowish color will the dentin layer will be.

Certain Foods

Colored Candies, Popsicles, and other bright foods can cause the staining of the Teeth over time. Foods like blueberries, and cherries, Ketchup, curry and other sauces can cause the color discoloration of the Teeth.

Certain Drinks

Excessive drinking of coffee, tea or red wine is the most common reasons why teeth have discoloration. Also high acidic drinks like soda, juices and even sports drinks can cause staining on the teeth.

Poor Oral Hygiene

Poor brushing and flossing allow stains from coffee, food, etc. to develop and can cause to build up of tartar or worst a Tooth decay that will stain the teeth white, gray, brown, yellow, or even black and green. That will not resolve by whitening product easily.
