Put Caffeine at Bay and Be Energized Naturally

We cannot defeat the fact that coffee is our reliable drink when it comes to attaining instant boost especially on those lazy and sleepy days. However, we get to rely to it so much sometimes that we go beyond what normal intake should be.

Studies have shown that over drinking coffee has negative effects that may lead to long term health problems. Conditions being linked to too much coffee consumption includes high cholesterol, heart disease, high blood pressure and even osteoporosis.

We all know how kind of a struggle it is to drag thy self on being up especially during mornings to do and perform daily functions and responsibilities. It is some sort of a love – hate relationship that can affect one’s productivity.

That’s why we opt for a cup of coffee to combat the drowsiness away. Average intake should be three or four cups a day but since the effect only lasts for three hours, people tend to reach for more cups to stay up and functioning.

While caffeine intake is an easy fix, why not try resorting to more natural way of being energized all throughout the day?

Here are some tips on getting the energy needed to stay awake all day:

Get Enough Sleep – this needs no in depth explanation. Having enough rest allows the body to collect the energy it needs. When the body is recharged at the amount it needs, focus and mental alertness can be obtained.

Exercise – Not only for strengthening the body in general, doing regular exercise boosts the body’s energetic state and retains alertness.

Listen to Up Beat Music – Studies show that listening lively music improves mood and makes the mind awake.

Low Carb Snacks – Eating happy foods like berries, oranges and apples boost the energy. Try staying away from meats and dairy products since they can cause the body to feel sleepy at times.
