Aging is something we cannot stop. While we should be thankful as the number of years in our lives increase, we cannot also deny the downside of getting old. Appearance wise, someone’s age can be determined by how a person looks. How? Primarily through the numbers of folds and lines the face comes into display.
The presence of wrinkles is due to the decreased elasticity of the skin which happens as we age.

As the saying goes, prevention is better than cure. It will pay a lot if taking care of the skin will be observed at the early stage of life. Putting liberal amount of sunscreen is not only for protection but can also be an effective base for anti-aging. Excessive sun exposure will damage the skin resulting to wrinkles, worse – skin cancer. Observing getting enough water content also prevents the formation of wrinkles. Not only water flushes toxins but it also helps on retaining moisture on the skin.
Having a skin that is well moisturized calls for a supple smooth skin.
Smoking also dwindles the collagen content of the body. With not enough collagen comes the formation of wrinkles. Several posts on social media and scientific studies prove that smoking has an aging effect.
Getting enough sleep also contributes to younger looking skin. While the body sleeps, it produces human growth hormones that are responsible for cell regeneration. While this is true, it is also advisable to observe proper sleeping position. It is being strongly suggested to sleep on the back instead of on the side. Repeated sleeping on the side will etch the sleep lines over the time.
Avoid squinting and more animated facial expressions. Repeated movement will result to formation of crease and fine lines. Now this does not mean that you turn into an ice lord. Try minimizing facial movement excluding smiling and laughing – that is your self-showing and sounding happy.
Put moisturizers and essential oils. Doing this promotes increased moisture on the top layer of the skin. And of course, last but definitely not the least, watch thy diet. Nothing beats starting from the inside of course.
