1950’s opened several industries in the United States, because people are time conscious, they had a huge success when they invented “FAST-FOOD”. Whenever people close their eyes and think or even picture out fast food they think mostly about pictures of mouthwatering burgers, fries, coke and the largest pizza’s baked to perfection and considers them as one of the happiest meals on the planet. But little do you know that when you open your eyes fast-food has so many faces?
Though fast-foods are often branded as those having too much fat, too oily, too salty, or worse doesn’t give the body much of what nutrient is required, but fast-food, no matter how bad people may have talked about it still had made a huge difference in the lives of the human race such as those in the military.
Military food
Military bases do have canteens, but when they go through their battles they don’t just stop at McDonalds to buy and find something to eat because they were very much hungry.
Did you know that fast-food has helped the military men and women gain strength in the battlefields such as the M. R. E. (Meal-Ready-to-Eat)?
This is what the troops would eat to prepare and sustain them in battle for their survival not only does it feed them, but it is also light weight, all is easy to open and prepare saving them time and energy.
Chinese Food
Who would resent this next fast-food “The Chinese food” Chinese food has found a way to make the Americans crave for their cuisines such as rice, dumplings, and their noodles and if you are asking how? They have simply learned to adjust to America’s fast phased culture so instead of changing the taste of their food they simply innovated their packages via “Box.”
It was a brilliant idea to use that kind of packaging because it is not only fast to prepare for take outs, but it also has the power to seal in the hotness of the cooked food so no matter how far you would travel the food would stay war for a long period of time.
Jelly Beans
Kids go crazy over Jelly beans, not only because of its chewy texture or its different fruit flavor taste, but because it has an egg-like shape therefore making it one of the most top selling candies during Easter. Although the idea of Jelly bean came from the French people, still, America has developed a shell coating that would enable the beans to last in a long period of time.
And did you know that? It is President Ronald Reagan’s favorite food? He became so much of a health conscious when he quit smoking, then he decided to replace it with Jellybeans, he would eat it and then share it with the people around him during cabinet meetings. That’s how popular this small food has become.
So no matter how you hate or love fast-food, you can never change the fact that it did change the course of a man’s life the time it was invented.
