Free thy self from clogged nose and press right points

Young woman having flu, feeling bad, blowing her nose, wrapped up in blanket.

Having a stuffed nose is uncomfortable and annoying. This health condition makes us realize the beauty and importance of smooth breathing. Sure, nasal congestion is curable, but medications sometimes do not deliver the immediate and desired effect that the situation calls for. Aside from discomfort in breathing, a stuffed nose can also come with headaches, nausea and loss of taste that further aggravates the condition.

Alleviate the pain and agony by resorting to the method of acupressure. By pressing specific points and putting pressure on particular sections of the body, a clogged nose can be temporarily relieved. Unknown to the majority, the body has several sections that affect other parts of the body. With the right points being pressed and/or massaged, the pain will be relieved.

Start with the easiest point to reach. Have your hands do the job as you press the joint in between thumb and index finger hard. Retain this activity for around two minutes and repeat until the pain and the cold goes away. This trick may be helpful, but is not recommended for pregnant women. Doing this with a baby in the womb may cause premature contractions.

Flush the mucus out by massaging the bridge of the nose, starting near the eye socket. Massage the both sides of the nose lightly with two thumbs each. The mucus will eventually melt and excreted though the nose.

Massaging the space between the eye brows will deliver favorable result. Touching this section will soften the mucus and prevent it from solidifying which is the main reason for clogged nose. Massage until you feel better or do it in five minute intervals.

Focusing on the cheek area beside the nostrils will also help. Usually, mucus gets stuffed in this region and putting pressure in this section will liquefy the building thick fluid, making it easier for the body to flush it out.
